Dear Chiefs Families,
As a non-profit, volunteer run football club we strive to keep our seasonal fees affordable for all families. Community Football continues to be one of the most cost-effective sporting activities for youth in our area. Rising costs of equipment, field rentals, and league fees are putting pressure on our ability to maintain the same historically low fees- and finding dedicated volunteers for key roles has become increasingly difficult.
To encourage greater participation from all members, our club has implemented a mandatory $250/player Volunteer & Fundraising Bond payable at the time of registration. Families can earn a full or partial refund by accumulating points through volunteering and/or fundraising. Families who prefer not to participate may simply pay the bond in full, with no further commitment.
Each registered athlete requires 10 volunteer/fundraising points per season. Points are calculated as follows:
1 point = $25 of fundraising or
0.5 points = 1 hour of volunteer time
It is each family’s responsibility to track their participation and report it accurately to the Volunteer Coordinator. Submissions will be verified.

Unfulfilled points
There will be many opportunities throughout the season to earn points, and we welcome new suggestions. If you’re unsure how to get involved, please reach out to your Team Manager for guidance.
Families who have not completed the required 10 points by the end of the season will not receive a refund on the unearned portion of the bond.
For example: If the Smith Family has one player and earns only 5 points, they will receive a $125 refund (as 1 point = $25), with the remaining $125 retained by the club.
We are so grateful to all our Chiefs families. Your contributions—both on and off the field—play a vital role in our success. Just as football is a team sport, these measures help ensure that we’re all working together to build a strong, supportive community for our players.
Thank you for being a part of the Chiefs family!
Warm regards,
Chiefs Football Club
